. JOHN F. HALL : Marine Surveyor, Compass Adjuster, Shipwright, Mariner - Résumé John Hall is a Partner in the firm of AMEE & CO. & Associate of Hong Kong & China loss adjusting, marine & cargo surveying organisation Zennon & Pierre Co. Ltd. He is a registered, certificated commercial marine surveyor with a Diploma in Yacht & Boat Building & Ship's Joinery. He holds an unlimited compass adjuster's licence & has been adjusting marine compasses in Australia, the South Pacific & Hong Kong since 2005. . Over 30+ years, extensive experience has been acquired in planning, management & implementation of survey requirements, including classification & load line. John Hall has undertaken a number of renovation projects on historic ships & wooden boats & has carried out repairs & refits on wooden, steel, aluminium & FRP vessels from <10 metres to >200 metres LOA. John established Innovative Industries in the UK in 1991 & ii MARINE on relocation to Australia in 2001. ii.MARINE's principal activities were boat refitting & marine surveying, which included: safety audits seaworthiness inspections inspections for insurance purposes container inspections lashing & securing inspections cargo survey (including damage assessments) repair & maintenance consultation & management magnetic compass inspections & adjustments on vessels of all types & sizes condition surveys of all types of commercial & pleasure small craft, specialising in wooden boats non-destructive testing (NDT) & investigation on steel, aluminium, FRP & wooden hulls & superstructures for corrosion, electrolysis, osmosis, water ingress, etc. John is a professional seaman & shipwright who joined the British Merchant Navy in 1972 & worked his way through the ranks. Sea-time was gained as CPO Carpenter with the Royal Fleet Auxiliary & on merchant, salvage & working vessels large & small. Extensive experience & skills were achieved at supervisory level of deck, cargo & salvage operations & in boat handling, damage control, navigation & engineering. John has undertaken much training & professional development over the years & has numerous professional, trade & seafaring qualifications, some of which are listed below: Certificated Commercial Marine Surveyor.
